Personality:

James at first comes across as a nice guy who seems very calm with everything and laid back - however it could not be far from the truth. He tends to worry a lot and always seems to be in a rush to get something done or finished. That, along with his little patience creates a very hard man. His personality has changed due to the major changes in his life and now he has become unable to relax.

The only time he can relax is when his mind is set and focused on something other than evil. He does his best to be kind and look after others and can be seen to have a very caring and protective persona about him. However when he is angered or annoyed his temper rages like a storm and he can be very scary when not in the best of moods. His high temper is what fuels him to fight against the forces of evil and come out with good winning at the end.

History:

James comes from a very long line of witches. Long meaning dating back to the 17th century. James is in fact a descendant of the Warren line of witches. During the course of history the Warren Line was broke off into two different families. This coming with the birth of Penelope and Gordon Johnson II. It was fate and destiny that Penelope would carry on her lineage to foster the Charmed Ones. However Gordon also carried on his line of witches and they expanded centuries on. However at the price of growing distant with both Warren Lines never meeting together or even realizing that they existed.

Gordon married and bore two daughters whom both were witches. Patience Johnson then went on to have her own children, whereas Pipan did not. Patience then gave birth, once married to Alexander Rodgers, to three sons who all had children. One of the sons, Alexander II married and gave birth which began the line, until it reached the Great Great Great Granddaughter of Alexander II - Rose Rodgers, who gave birth to 3 children. Mark, James & Prudence.

They lived happily together along with their father Nick Kane in their family home in New York. There Rose taught her children how to use their powers for the greater good as well as killing a lot of big demons herself. Both Mark and Prudence were older than James and looked after him once their mother died. The family stayed in their home and lived for a while until their father walked out one afternoon leaving 30 year old Mark and 25 year old Prudence to care for each other as well as James who at the time was 19. This made James become a hard soul who made sure he was dependent on no-one. The pain of his father leaving created a void of reliance and hatred toward his father. When his mother died James was able to handle things better than was expected, however the blow of his father walking out was incomprehensible.

The siblings lived semi-normal lives, carrying on their destiny of vanquishing demons and riding the world of evil until one fateful battle when Mark and Prudence where both vanquished. James managed to get away, but barely with his life. To his home returned a changes man at the age of 22. He became cold and unable to show any emotion with a high level of anger and rage. However soon he became more open to emotion when he got together with one of his best friends, taking their relationship to the next level. For a year the couple become so close and James told her about his "other" job as a witch. It went well, until the two broke up due to complications in James' life with the constant interruption of magic. Now James has taken leave for his family home and is looking for a connection in San Francisco - a family connection that his grandmother always spoke of, which was shared throughout his line.

  Weaknesses:

  James finds it difficult to word spells in order to get desired effects. That was always Prudence's specialism and James has never been able to fully grasp it. Another weakness includes his ability to control his powers when he is angry. They often flare out of control, but not badly or noticeably. He tried to control them but when he is angry, strange things often happen with his connections to his powers and being a witch.
